Create a document larger than your picture. Import the picture to the document.
Select the Lasso tool and go around the picture trying to be as straight as possible but realizing that being perfectly straight isn't good. If you use a mouse and don't have the steadiest of hands then you should be fine.
Duplicate the layer. Select the empty space of that layer with the magic wand. Go to Select>Inverse. Paintbrush over the picture.
Put that layer below the actual picture. Now take the lasso tool and go around the picture and select some of edges and sides of the picture and deleting so the white is exposed. Also you can take a smooth and defined brush and adding white along the sides.
Now go to the white layer and take the blur tool. Go around to where the white is showing and blur the edges.
Your done.
